`Adolescenceistheconjugatorofchildhoodandadulthood’
The process of growing up brings with it many challenges for adolescents andchildren. We, at Omkar International School, Dombivli equip our students byempowering them through various initiatives to help them overcome thesetribulations. A workshop on Changes in Adolescence was conducted on 5thAugust2023,attheschoolcampusbyMrHimanshuDaveandMrsTejalDavewhich focused on physical, emotional and social changes during adolescence.The session was participatory, encouraging the participants to voice theiropinions, share the challenges and provide suggestions during the workshop.Various issues like puberty, physical changes, coping with distractions, moodswings, body shaming, bullying, menstrual cycle; sexual roles andresponsibilities; coping with stress; peer pressure and managing conflict etc.were discussed where in children shed their inhibitions and openly soughtsolutions to the challenges faced by them. The workshop ended providingstudentswithrequired knowledgeand createdawarenessaboutsensitive
adolescentissuesandpsychologicalconcerns.
